They may be little altered, but the place now has a buzz that was often elusive in the old days.

The menu is something of an 'education' - offering many combinations you don't often see elsewhere - and helps you understand why the place seems to be gathering quite a following.

Broccoli ravioli with scallops sounded very intriguing (especially in Italian), but similarly failed to excite.

Five big ravioli, cooked well beyond al dente, and filled with broccoli mousse was as boring as it sounds, and the scallops, though good, didn't integrate with the rest of the dish.

So much promise.

working in the Marylebone area for a few years now and have certainly eaten my fair share of the local restaurants.

I’ve had an incredible meal at the late, I’ve beenorking in the Marylebone area for a few years now and have certainly eaten my fair share of the local restaurants.

This time with a fantastic homemade ravioli pasta, filled with lamb and rosemary – then drench in a tomato and vegetable based sauce, and a little more rosemary for garnish.

The chicken was covered in such a thin layer of crunchy, flavoursome breadcrumbs fried just to perfection you wonder why so many other Italian restaurants in London get it so wrong.

Some Italian restaurants across London seem to cover their seafood in so much oily batter that much of the time overcooking the seafood ends up being the result in trying to get the crunch on that batter.

I come from Italy and I've been in London during St Valentine week end, me and my girlfriend didn't know where to go at dinner, so finally we decided to go here even though we were afraid to find just a "copy" of italian cousine.

But that's the surprise here there is the real italian cousine with some specialities from Veneto Region.

The atmosphere is mostly romantic, personel is extremely kind and friendly and it was clear that their behaviour was not influenced by the fact that we're italian, infact we didn't tell them at once.

We had a marvellous dinner with an extraordinary food, it's clear that they import original food directly from Italy, I appriciated an italian ham probably better than I've ever had in Italy.

So if you wan to try the real italian food you got to go to 2 Veneti, it's absolutely worthy!

Fancy Crab, London, Marylebone. Book now!

Foodies are flocking to Wigmore Street in droves to get to London’s Fancy Crab.

Using red king crab that’s caught in the Northern Arctic ocean, this Marylebone seafood restaurant is serious about serving only the highest quality crab to its guests, and that goes for everything else on the menu too.

At Fancy Crab in London’s Marylebone, you can enjoy your red king crab grilled over charcoal with butter and thyme or steamed and served on ice with all the trimmings.

If you’re with a group, we highly recommend ordering a whole red king crab to share – it comes served with triple-cooked truffle chips, polenta fries, thyme hollandaise, greens, mushrooms and a bunch of homemade sauces for dipping.

Fancy Crab is the complete package – you don’t want to miss an experience at this temple to crab on Wigmore Street.

As the rustic brick walls and prints of Palladian villas intimate, the food at this Wigmore Street Italian is focused firmly on dishes from Venice and its surrounding countryside.

The wine list follows suit, though the remit expands to Italian regions beyond Veneto.

Classic Venetian dishes include sarde in saor (sweet and sour sardines), baccalà mantecato (dried cod mousse with grilled polenta) and bigoli pasta, traditionally made with duck eggs.

The menu also features burrata with aubergine puree, ravioli filled with lamb and rosemary sauce, and grilled beef tagliata with root winter vegetables and radicchio salad.

Keep an eye out for special menus and set group offers.
